SEO Style - Writing for the Reader AND spiders

We all know that to properly optimize a site, we need to write a certain way that makes it hard on the conversions...  Right?  Wrong, you can still write for your readers and convert very well while following these simple SEO tips:

In order to make an optimization work, it's critical that we use enough text to avoid making them look "non-organic" or "unnatural" to the engines in terms of text.  If you  "cut corners" by using very little text/ad copy, or by pasting the same text into the pages over and over your site will fail and  your good rankings will not come because one way to look for quality is by checking UNIQUE WORDS and phrases within sentences and paragraphs.*

***USE RELATED WORDS in ALL of the TEXT, TITLES, and DESCRIPTIONS!!***

Use many Synonyms & Variants - As explained on our SEO site (see link below post)

*MAXIMIZE DESCRIPTION TEXT & TITLE TEXT - Follow these Guidelines below:

1) TITLE TEXT:

   a) USE ONE to THREE WORDS.  (use synonyms & variants as explained above)

   b) CREATE AT LEAST 2 TITLES PER KEYWORD PHRASE. (e.g. for a 50 phrase promotion, use 100 Titles)

   c) MIX IN A FEW HOT KEYWORD PHRASES! (pick a few different Keyword Phrases to also use as title text)
About 10% of the total titles - so if you have 100 Titles, make about 10 of them Keyword Phrases.

   d) USE THE SINGULAR OR PLURAL versions of keywords in the title text. (if the main keyword is singular, use the plural version in title text, if the main keyword is plural, use the singular version in title text.)

2) DESCRIPTION TEXT:

   a) USE TWO OR THREE SENTENCES. (about 15 to 25 words - using synonyms & variants)

   b) CREATE AT LEAST 2 DESCRIPTIONS PER KEYWORD PHRASE. (e.g. for a 50 phrase promotion, use 100 Descriptions)

   b) PUT ONE KEYWORD PHRASE IN EACH DESCRIPTION.
Remember, only one per description - DON'T OVERDO IT. Use a good mix from the keywords list.

   d) USE THE SINGULAR OR PLURAL versions of keywords in the title text. (if the main keyword is singular, use the plural version in title text, if the main keyword is plural, use the singular version in title text.)

Very good tips from the previous posters.  If I may add, I also like to take a look at the top ten or so websites that are ranking for a particular keyword that you are targeting, paying close attention to their design and word usage.
