We dont like to wait 240 seconds to reply for posts

this feature was in place to prevent spam bots from creating topics and posts instantly, to compromise with your request i have reduced the time limit to 60 seconds

I'll change this now to see if it will work.  It is unfortunate but I typically do not have enough time to delete spam, even if I did, I would hesitate spending the 15+ hours or so per week that it would take when we have never made a dime from this site as of 2010/11.

If anyone knows of an add on or method that others use to limit forum spam I would welcome the advice because I do love this forum and want to keep it clean.

I like the 60 second rule... It isn't too long to wait, and it sure does keep down spam. I hate it when people get on and post random ads and stuff... Thank you Eric!
