Top ranking sites for the target keyword are the best sites to get inbound links. Logically these sites will give higher ranking value as they are ranked high for the target keyword. Please correct if this opinion is not correct.

Just in case you want to know what I do... Here is how I do my weekly linking jobs:

Basically each week I would gather a set of URL's and Keywords from parsing my web logs to see where I am getting traffic from but also making sure that I am result number 3 to 20 so that I know I am at least considered for the word making it possible for link popularity to have the biggest impact for the time spent.

Here is what they look like once I gather the data:

Keyword: Wookie Cookies -
URL to send "Wookie Cookies" links to: http ://ww w.example site.com/Synonymof Wookie Cookies.html

Keyword: Red Wookie Circles -
URL to send "Red Wookie Brillow" links to: http ://ww w.examplesite.com/Synonym of WookieBrillow .html

Please keep in mind that no linking pages can have a gray page rank bar but page rank 0 all white bars are fine. 

*** Note: Some think that its fine to have a gray bar if its indexed in Google but I have tested and tested and have found (for sure) that the time spent gathering gray links versus white is not worthwhile because the results indicate that we would need 12X the links to get the same movement in the SERPS.

I understand that some people use Directories, Social and tagging but I recommend mostly regular sites, here are the percentages we can allow:

o 60-70%+ PR0 or more (on the incoming page not incoming site) (white bar min) link trades and/or 1 to 3 way links

o Maximum Between 0 to 10%Directory Links
o Maximum Between 0 to 13% Social Links
o Maximum Between 0 to 12% Forums
o Maximum Between 0 to 10% Tagging


I ALWAYS need help for this and with the economy is the way the news is making it out to be I would like to offer out some side work although it is boring as hell. 

If anyone has a either time on their hands or a company interested in helping us get RELEVANT link partners please indicate the process you would take to get it done and follow up with this post, please include an estimated time frame for completion.
